Plateau-Mont-Royal
Between Walks and Memory
The Plateau-Mont-Royal is a neighborhood I came to know by walking.
As a student, I often climbed up to Mount Royal Park, camera in hand, in search of light and quiet — or wandered through the area looking for small restaurants with fellow students.
Later, with my son, it became a place of shared afternoons, between the park’s paths and the neighborhood’s restaurants.
When I lived in Milton-Parc, I would often let myself drift northward, without any precise destination, returning to the familiar alleys, staircases, and façades of the Plateau.
These walks nourished my earliest images and still draw me back to this dense, vibrant neighborhood, alive with creativity.
